West Keene Church of Christ stands as a beacon of faith in Keene for 5 decades. We are a fellowship based on God's word and love. 

Our community is diverse, with people of different ages and backgrounds coming together to worship and serve together.


We welcome all individuals seeking God’s love and our doors are open to every soul seeking to learn about God and his available forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

Our Mission Scripture

 Matthew 28: 18-20 

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. OUR BELIEFS ABOUT GOD

We believe in one true God, existing in the form of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

He is the Creator of all things visible and invisible.

OUR BELIEFS ABOUT JESUS

Jesus is God’s only begotten Son, and our Savior.

Conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit by the virgin Mary, fully human and fully Divine, raised in Nazareth.

Jesus lived a sinless life.

Jesus was crucified for our sins and was buried and rose again the third day as foretold in Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of God and rule forever.

Jesus is King of kings, and Lord or lords, and one day will return as Judge.

OUR BELIEFS ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit is the active presence of God in the world who dwells in every Christian. 

The Holy Spirit empowers Christians for works of service.

The Holy Spirit empowers Christians to live and grow in grace and a Christ-like life.

OUR BELIEFS ABOUT THE BIBLE

The Bible is God’s Holy Word, without error or contradiction and is inspired by the Holy spirit of God.

Scriptural Reference: Mark 12:36; John 14:26; 16:12-15;Acts 1:16;I Corinthians 2:12-13; 2 Timothy 3:14-16 & 2 Peter 1:20-21.


The Bible is the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.

The Bible is profitable for teaching, correction, instruction and the equipping of the saints.

The Bible teaches that mankind was created by God, and that mankind willfully sinned against God.

Mankind is lost, without hope apart from the saving blood of Jesus Christ.

OUR BELIEFS OF SALVATION

We believe salvation and the forgiveness of sins is by grace from God through faith in His Son Jesus and made possible only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

The Bible teaches salvation is received when one believes (trusts) in Jesus, repents of sin, confesses the name of Jesus as Lord, and is born again for remission of sins, and receives the gift of the Holy Spirit to dwell within.

OUR BELIEFS ABOUT THE CHURCH

 The church is the body, bride, family, community of God in and through Jesus Christ, and that it was founded on the day of Pentecost, AD 33, in Jerusalem by the preached message of the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Men and women have clearly defined roles as defined in the Scriptures.

God wonderfully creates each person as male or female. Two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.

God offers full and free redemption based on the blood of Jesus Christ.

All who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and grace and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

Forgiveness of sins does not mean going back and undoing or “unscrambling the eggs.” When God forgives a lost person through obedience to the Gospel, or a Christian who repents and re-commits his life to Jesus, it is a ‘from that point on’ life in Christ. 


Every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity.

OUR BELIEFS ABOUT CHURCH LEADERSHIP

Jesus is the Head of the church, His body, and that each born again Christian is a part of it.

The Bible teaches that elders (shepherds/bishops) are to exercise authority in serving the local body of Christians.
