CELEBRATE RECOVERY

Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a Christ-centered program which uses 8 principles found in the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:1-12), and CR 12 steps (same as Alcoholics Anonymous, but with Scripture for each step).

We specify the higher power as Jesus Christ.

Through Celebrate Recovery - We find healing from:

  • drug and alcohol abuse

  •  pornography

  • co-dependency

  • anger

  • food addiction

  • fear of abandonment

  • anxiety and depression

  • grief

  • sexual abuse

  • low self-esteem

  • and other hurts, hang-ups, and habits..

Beginning in 1991 at the Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., Celebrate Recovery is now a ministry in over 27,000 churches worldwide, according to its website.

MEETING INFORMATION

Join Our Community

First and foremost, you can expect a “safe place,” and a warm accepting welcome and a first time “chip.”

CR is one of the most loving environments you will be a part of. Everyone here is on the same road as you are. Though our issues may differ in some ways, we are all seeking truth and healing in the same way. This is a safe environment where you can take your “mask” off and be who you are.

When you attend our CR Meeting, you will be greeted by some great people at the name tag station.

We ask all of our attendees to use their first name only so as to maintain anonymity.

We begin with “large group” worship, beginning with prayer and announcements. Our worship includes uplifting Contemporary Christian videos geared for those who are  broken, and hurting.

We have testimony or a helpful lesson from the Bible. Together we repeat the CR 12 steps or 8 principles, and more songs, and we close the large group worship time with the Serenity prayer.

Everything in CR is geared to help us all in our journey of recovery.

After Large Group we split off into gender specific small groups. Celebrate Recovery groups are held to 5 strict rules which guarantee CR as a “safe-place.” We go over these rules each time we meet as a reminder.

Finally, we all get back together for a casual coffee and dessert in the Fellowship Hall.

We DO NOT try to fix each other, nor judge or condemn anyone, but rather we support each other as we go through this recovery program individually and together. The goal is to find real freedom from our hurts, hang-ups, and habits and find the healing which Christ offers.

It’s a great time to get to know others and to browse our Celebrate Recovery resource table.
